what are these tascam desks like

hi all

i just got for nothing a teac 5 series tascam desk, 8 chanel 4 buss from maybe the late 70's or early 80's. i opened it up and found that it was all the pre amps had transformers and the buss outs do as well which i thought was cool cause my impresion of teac or tascam stuff was that it was mostly sorta low end. any way i conected it up and it sounds very nice, but i was just wondering if anyone has used one or have any info on them, whether you guys think they are ok or not,

i posted the question on this forum cause i thought maybe some of you may have learnt on boards like this
