Snowball USB mic

My partner won a Snowball mic from Blue. Dude, this little thing is cool as hell. Now I'm not saying cut a record with it but if you are traveling and need a little something to record with to track ideas or a little demo song for someone to bring back with you while you are out on the road, then this thing will do it. I was shocked.
When my friend told me to try it out I was like "yea, for skype" (I did that too lol)
but I was messing around with it cuz I was being lazy and did not feel like setting anything up and just want to mess around on it. And I say thumbsup cool deal.

...but why is it 16bit only? I was thinking about it. It seems the same problem as another (idea) mic... samson is making, also USB and also 16bit only.

We were able to demo the Snowball with the rep this week, and it really is cool for what it is. Doesn't sound "great" but for podcasters or musicians who want to lay down quick ideas to a MAC or PC it rocks!

Between something like that and the free software like Audacity you could cut a pretty cool demo / idea track for next to nothing.

Yup! It's no highend mic but for laying down quick ideas like we said, it rocks.
Also you don't have to install any software cds. Very cool idea man!
