Shock Mount

Hi All!
I made the dubious decision to purchase an akg c300b used. Mic is in fine condition but was heavily discounted because it didn't come with original box/gear and user hadn't used it in about a year.
I didn't think this was a big deal until I did more research on procuring a shock mount.
Apparently, universal mounts aren't a standard thing? I thought for a typical 1" large diaphram there would be plenty of options but I was told that I had to get one specific to an akg, especially a c300b, which is going to be quite expensive for simply a shock mount.
Any other suggestions?

I bought some cheap ones on ebay that were kind of homemade(but decent looking). they work on my CAD E-2's they also work on small mics too. i'll look for a link for you
