Sony Oxford reverb on drum buss?

Is anyone familiar with the Sonnox reverb plugin, it's pretty nice...I just want to know in general which drums would you send to that reverb to create a little drum space...do anyone of you leave the overs out? the kick out? Just curious....

looking for a tight sound....using parallel compression through an API 2500 buss compressor..

It depends....if the goal is to somehow emulate room/space I'll get everything on it - including the kick.

Inserting a reverb never works for me when adding some dimension to drums, I'd rather do it through sends.

i really like the sonnox verb for that sort of stuff...drums in particular. i tend to prefer the results i get using very subtle verbs, though. i don't really notice/hear the verb per se, but at a certain point, i definitely hear things come "alive" in a not-so-subtle way.
you might want to play with separate instances for early and late reflections as well. i've had pretty good luck with "expanding" the depth of field by using a "farther away" setting for the drums (bus insert), and a more "close" setting for the guitars (again, bus insert), then sending both to the late reflection only verb (send). you should be able to get pretty good results that way. the sonnox verb has great options for dealing with stuff like that, but as with anything else, it does require some patience and tweaking/experimentation...
cheers,

kell

I often use the Sony reverb set on an EMT 140 or 250 emulation for a general reverb that I put up on sends. what worked for me lately was using the Digi AIR Reverb as an insert on the drum bus to give a general drum ambience. It stumbled on this purely by accident and for some reason the AIR Reverb works better for me than any other Reverb on the drum bus.....
