You will get better results with the CEntrance MicPort Pro:

CEntrance -> MicPort Pro

It includes a very low-noise preamp and works with the best studio mics, so if you upgrade your mic in the future, you won't need to buy another preamp. It also has a convenient headphone output, so you can monitor yourself, which you can't do with the other product you mentioned. It's $150, but worth it in my opinion.

I can't speak for the usb.008 but I have had the usb.009 for a little while and have used the micport pro a few times as well. I found the usb.009 to be worth the money spent on it (around $300 brand new) for the quality and convenience factor but I found the micport pro to provide excellent flexibility and quality. If you just want the ease of usb to use in your home studio and you won't be using it for travel, then I would go with the micport (I assume since there's no mention of it that you don't own a nice mic pre). It'll help you get a more natural sound, as you can swap out mics until you come across one you like. I'm not sure if you already own the v67g or not but that would be your best bet if you do. Ultimately, if you really want a good natural smooth sound, you're going to have to get a pre that provides some kind of character vs. something super clean like a mic going directly into the computer unless you spend ALOT on your mic.

Best of luck to you.
