Looking for studio in Brooklyn....

I'm looking for the following, for a quick 2-day session to lay down some guitar tracks:

- 16 or 24 track tape deck
- decent analog board
- engineer who's good at getting guitar sounds
- able to dump session to PT at 48khz afterwards through decent conversion

any recommendations?

PM me, please!

prefer Brooklyn but Queens is OK, or even Manhattan if the price is right

Studio G in Williamsburg, just a step from the Lorimer stop.
I've seen Joel work, he's amazing and wouldn't recommend anyone else.

My old band spent 2 weeks at Atomic doing our LP ...awesome dudes and live room, great gear ... but the control room needed some work.

There's a studio in Brooklyn that I'm helping put together right now.... Neve 8014 with 16x 1073's, Apogee converters, etc.

Oh, they don't have a 2" machine, just a 1/2" two track... nevermind.

I may on occasion talk about some of the products I am a dealer for in my posts.. and that's OK! I sell them because I like them. Not vice versa. It's more fun to talk about things you know and love, then things you don't.

There's a place in W'burg called Coyote Recording (http://www.coyoterecording.com/). API console, Studer 24-track. I not sure if it's still there, but the stuff I listened to that was recorded there was great.

Check that out...

Ah, I was in The Control ...and years before that I was in an old hardcore band called Halfmast. Now I'm just trying to get my studio off the ground. The cost of living in Buffalo is almost NIL so it's pretty easy to make a living with a mid priced studio.

I always wondered if there were any hardcore dudes on this website

Thumbs up

nbutter:

I have a recommendation but, it's not in Brooklyn, it's in Queens.

Your description of the studio and engineer you want sounds just like my buddy Lou and his place...

He has an analog 2" 24 track setup and is an engineer who is great at getting guitar sounds because he's an awesome guitarist himself. He gets great sounds at his place! And, I'm not saying that because he's my friend. This guy rocks!

The place is called The Music Lab NYC.
Ask for Lou.
