Budget XLR and TRS connectors?

Hi, There is an Ebay seller named paraquip selling XLR plugs resembleling Neutrik NC3F. Has anyone used these connectors or any other inexpensive connectors. What are the results. I'm looking for an alternative to expensive xlr and trs. I did a search but couldn't find much about budget connectors . Thanks, Don

Hi
If you are wanting to hook up a desk or rack gear then 'cheapies' can be the way to go as it is often the cable clamping mechanism that is the worst part of cheap connectors. Itf it is static or rarely moved this won't be an issue.
Gigging or frequent use, lash out on proper gear if you don't want to be let down.

monoprice.com has some pretty amazing deals on cables. Go to their Cables - Audio Professional section. Cheaper than buying parts and DIYing. The quality isn't the best of the best but its very capable. Considering we are in the low-end forums - I'd say it would be worth checking out.

Thanks for the replies Ca$h and Matt, I need to use the cables for rack gear and board. Ca$h, Have you tried the monoprice cables? The prices look great. I've heard that some budget connectors do not fit properly in inputs (too loose causing signal problems or too tight possibling damaging inputs). Sincere Thanks, Don

Yeah, I've actually gotten a bunch of stuff from monoprice including cables. I've been happy with everything - no problems. The biggest steal I found there was color laser toner!

The audio cables are nothing fancy, they will absolutely get the job done. On a budget, can't be beat - your savings can be invested elsewhere. Buy some DIY acoustic panel making supplies!
