Thread Starter | Octava MK-012 mic and Ukulele sound samples Hey Folks, Just wanted to ad praise for the heralded Russian made Octava MK-012 mics through my Martech MSS-10 pre. I especially like them with my acoustics and really dig them with my Ukulele recorded below: Whispering Mist: Solo 8-string Kamaka Ukulele: http://www.gregv.us/Whispering%20Mist%20%20Greg%20V.mp3 Kat's Calla Lily: 8-string Kamaka Ukulele with Pre War Rickenbacher Bakelight lapsteel, bass: http://www.gregv.us/Kats%20Calla%20Lily.mp3 Emerald Tapestry: A bit more aggressive track: http://www.gregv.us/Emerald%20Tapestry.mp3 |

| Yeah, these showcase the non-hyped top end that is characterisic of the '012 - these mics also do a nice job on other small body / higher pitched string instruments like mandolin, banjo and violin. |

| I just scored/performed a lot of country/bluegrass additional music for a computer game. I recorded fiddle, banjo, mandolin, lap steel, and steel guitar all exclusively with an OktavaMod MK-012. It sounds great on every string instrument I throw it on. |
