Thread Starter | Ribbon for side in M/S
I'm wondering if any of the less expensive ribbon mics are suitable for the side mic in a mid/side setup. I know a lot of them aren't symmetrical figure 8's.... Thanks! |

Cascade Fathead is symmetrical. It sounds pretty good, too.

I've done it, it works fine. Just watch out for the large amount of gain you'll likely need.

i use a fathead which I am happy with.
