Good vocal tracking comp?

I might be in the market for a tracking comp for vocals. I think it's necessary for me to have one now. I'm preferably looking for an opto comp. Any suggestions? This is what I have so far:

Summit Audio TLA 50

Chameleon Labs 7802

FMR RNC

ART VLA

The Summit Audio and Chameleon Labs are pretty expensive for what I want to spend. So are there any more affordable comps good for tracking vox?

I don't think you can go wrong with the ART VLA, but I've been dying to see what the FMR PBC-6A can do. Heard nothing but great things about it...especially on vocals.

That would be fabulous, but in the interests of staying "low end" I'll also throw my hat in for the ART VLA. The FMR RNLA is pretty great too.

well this ain“t opto but:

if on the lower budget - you may take a look at new FMR PBC 6A - I ve found it great
especially when tracking

you can keep the things on more subtle side if you prefer - or make it bigger - or "trash" it to pieces, the range is really wide.

it also adds some kind of "soul" / character to the at any settings..
thick mode gives some subtle "puff" + something, good to have it, sometimes on sometimes off, depends.. bypass, sidechain, balanced I/O, hi pass, and - well built, ultimate yellow brick design which I love and hate at the same time : )

definitely worth the money ..
