Thread Starter | An inexpensive pre like the GTQ2?
I'm having trouble deciding on a new pre, and the ones I've tried and love are out of my reach. I love the sound of the GTQ2, but have no means of actually buying one right now. I would love to get my hands on one that sounds close to it though. Can anyone here help my search? My budget is less than $1000 and I would like two channels.

For what it is, the GTQ2 is a great deal. I noticed in a post recently Geoff Tanner was singing the praises of the circuit design of the Seventh Circle Audio N72 pre amp. At some point, I think it would be nice to build some of those myself. Of course, there are no EQ's on those pre amps, and no kits for EQ's at the moment. I personally really want either the GTC2 or a pair of the GTQC's next. Maybe both! ![]() Common, lotto! |
