new studio advice

gday fellas,

we have recently built a studio for our band and ive got a couple of questions that maybe some of you might be able to help out with. our room layout is basically just 2 rooms, one smaller and one larger separted by a 140mm wall with 2 layers of sound shield plaster, 90mm Tontine bats, 50mm acoustisorb bats and barrierboard. All the gaps have been sealed with firesound sealant. The idea is to jam in the larger room and have everythign set up for rough (live) recording, and when we need to record something proper we use the sound proof room for drums, guitar and bass cabs etc... we play metal and theres 4 of us (2 guitars/vocals, drums, bass)

- we have a tascam dm-24 daw, tascam IF-FW/DM interface card, mindprint envoice, samson s-phone, aphex 109, alesis midiverb II, peak usa 1600, behringer monitors, fmr rmc, fmr rnla, 2 shure beta 52s, 4 sm57s, 2 sm58s, 1 rode nt1, 5 tom mics and 2 overhead condensers (not sure on the brands - we will upgrade any suggestions?). We havent bought any patch bays/panels yet. What would be the best way to set up all this gear for both applications. I understand that things will have to be changed around depending on the application but generally what would be the best way to set it up from sctratch (i have little knowledge in this so please be detailed)

Is adobe audition compatible with the dm-24? Will it be able to use all of the control feautures form the daw if the midi cable is conencted from the IF-FW/DM? we have been using audition for a while now so we are comfortable with it but if theres is a more powerful solution we will ahve to adapt to it.

any help, comments, advice is greatly appreciated.

p.s we also have a m-audio delta 44 - maybe it could be helpful

cheers
