KRK RP6 Editors Choice List "The Absolute Sound"

For those of you interested, there is a review by an audiophile magazine, The Absolute Sound on the KRK RP 6 G2. Here is the link:

In Issue 194 I believe they do the editors choice once a year and the KRK's were picked for loudspeakers under 500.00.

Although they may not look at it in the same context of your studio needs I felt it was a very fair and accurate review, by people who listen for a living. Warning-please do not take an offense to the dig of the Yamaha NS 10's.

After listening to them when shopping a while ago I found they had scooped mids and a cheap high end. I didn't feel they were accurate at all. In that range I felt the Yamaha HSM50's were much more accurate in the mid/high end range but lacked low end. I also liked the Tascam VL series for the money. I personally went for the Dynaudio BM5A's which were more money. If I had to keep it under $500.00 it would be between the Tascams/Yamaha's or Blue Sky. I ruled out the KRK's instantly after hearing their whole range. They look cool though.

The tweeters varied a bit on these (what do you expect for that price?).

If you get a good pair of tweeters, they are quite nice for the money.
