Warmth from TL Audio Ivory 5021 II, possible?

2 tubes per channel, can I warm up an ITB mix with a few dB compression and a
little drive?

or are they a waste of money?

thx

It's GS here and TL Audio is highly hated!

If you can live with a bit of "haze", the 5021 will be fine.
Although you should consider the 5013 eq also for what you wanna do.

Don't listen too much to the negativity around TLAudio here...

Back in the day when I used to work at Turnkey , a lot of guys who were doing dance compilation were buying the 5021/5013 combo to process mix material.

Cheers

In my humble opinion adding distortion, tubes or without, will mostly result in mud and loss of impact. Don't expect magic just because it's analog.

When I tested it, I was A/B ing it with the 737 and yeah, liked the 737 a lot more. No warmth that's all.
