Thread Starter | Favourite multi in/out AUDIO INTERFACES (without pre's) £400-700 mark
Hey there, Long time lurker. Im looking to replace my trusty m-audio 1010 which I have used pretty much without hitch for the past 6 years. Ive finally come round to the time/money and need to upgrade to something a little better and wondered if someone had any advice on interfaces in this price range they had used without problems, and also that have a great sound. It needs to be able to run on PC and XP 64. PCI is preferred simply because everyone I speak to seems to think it is more reliable but am open to other suggestions. I need the extra outs the 1010 has to send to some outboard fx/processor requirements: - I need to have at least 8 outs (4 stereo pairs including the main outs) and probably the same amount of line inputs. - Does not need any pre's (although do not mind having them) - Needs Midi in/out - £300-700 (about $500-$1000 although I won't be able to get it for as cheap as in US) If anyone had any suggestions that would be greatly appreciated. Cheers |

Thanks for that suggestion. I have looked at the layla line before. Just wondered if it is a significant step up or whether there was something better that had surfaced in the past couple of years (third generation layla was 2005). Thanks J |

| probably not with the features you listed AND a PCI interface (in that price range). Most everything is Firewire/USB/etc, I think the Audiofire/3G products have held on pretty well the last few years.
