Looking for a new microphone.

Need a new mic. Selling my KSM for $300 + AT3035, and my Blue Baby Bottle for $450 OBO + comes with the accessories too that cost a hundred bucks (Haven't found a buyer yet, so if ya interested hit me up).

I got a $500 budget. I am however thinking of spending the entire 750.. or 850 however you wanna think of it (can resell the at3035).. but sometimes I'd rather pocket the money.

Oh.. I forgot to add. I'm not totally sure about the sound I want. I just want to know the possibilities out there first. BUT if its necessary.. keep these in mind, full, warm, smooth, or a more hip hop sound.

So what I need is the possibilities for a microphone that comes in $400-550 price range, and also list the price.

Then I need the possibilites from $600 to $850 to think about.

The preamp that I'm using is the E-MU 1820m pres, which I'm keeping.
And my voice clip, unedited, coming from a Shure KSM32 to RNC 1773 to EMu 1820m. www.soundclick.com/knightshift

Mics I have already considered are the AT4040, and the neumann tlm 103.

Enjoy.

Thanks in advance.

...one you would probably never think of is Cascade's V55 Valve Mic...I just started recording with one and I'm very impressed with it's sound (I record Dancehall and Lovers Rock Reggae which is very similar to Hiphop and R&B)...it's built by SE Microphones and comes with a vintage Mullard tube in it...very smooth and "big" sounding...classic tube sound...the mic is enormous and seems to handle bass frequencies especially well...it's sold by Bayview Pro Audio ($499. but I'm told you can haggle them down a bit) and they give you a 30 day trial period, so if you're not happy, they pick it up from you (full refund and they pay the return freight)...not many people know about this mic, but I'm telling you it's very sweet (much smoother than either my Rode K2 or NTK and "bigger" sounding than my Royer/Mojave MA200)...check out the review below...definately worth a look (and NO, I don't work for Bayview or Cascade, I just really like this mic!):
