^^^^^ Yup. Except if you actually want to burn some of that existing fat off, you shouldn' have the carbs before your (cardio) workout either (so your burning your fat reserves for the energy to do the workout and not those sugars). |

I don't have a problem with being fat.... however no matter how skinny you are engineering will still make you out of shape. The only thing scarier then being overweight, and being short of breath when you walk up 12 stairs .... Is not being overweight, and being short of breath when you walk up 12 stairs. A couple things I have done to help stay in shape.... *Watch what you drink..... Everyone watches what they eat but they don't watch what the drink.... I ****ing love pepsi more then anything on earth. SODA POP IS REALLY BAD FOR YOU. If you have problems with your weight POP WILL MAKE YOU FAT. When I drink a-lot of pop I feel Tired.... bloated ....burt-out... Heavy.... slow.... you get the point. I try and stick to Juice and water..... and when I say Juice I mean real juice..... like tomato juice from a can. Not sugar and water with fruit flavor in it. *Eat a-lot of fiber even if you are a person who takes a-lot of poops. No one eats enough fiber..... When you eat fiber you get the most out of your poops... You poop out a-lot more of the crap that is inside you. I can't express enough how good you will feel after you take a nice big fat solid shit...... I am not even joking....... This goes even more for the heavier engineers out there. * I got a dog and I walk it everyday.... This is obviously not for everyone.... I am an animal lover and I love dogs, so spending time walking my dog is something I enjoy weather I am in shape or not. So I am not saying go out an get a dog no matter what.... But if you are a dog person this is something I would consider. *Last but not least.... invest in a good bed. I haven't slept on a real bed in my entire life.... However this past year I decided to get one. It is a-lot easier to wake up early and get off your ass and move your bones when you have had a good solid sleep. Sitting at a console and listening for 12+ hours a day is not the most physically draining activity..... However it sure as hell is mentally EXHAUSTING... there is nothing worse then being totally mentally drained at the end of the day but not being able to fall asleep because you have been sitting down all day. If you get a good bed... and work some exercise into your day, you will sleep better and have more energy to exercise. That alone will help with your weight.... Watch what you eat and drink and you will at-least FEEL better... if not loose some of those extra pounds. |

I'm in very good shape, but it helps that I am 22 and that I go to the gym almost everyday. Recording and all that jazz is good, and it pays the bills, but if you're unhealthy while doing what you love, most likely you won't be able to perform at your best, or last the longest either. I really wouldn't want to have a heart attack, ever.

I like how this issue is being respected. . If you have no energy to work out then "clear it out". Chill and pretend you've already worked out
