strat thru boombox speaker

Here's a link to a song I wrote and recorded called:" Shake the Ground" I played the intro riff thru an old boombox and a small practice amp. The solo's where played thru a homemade vibratone type speaker. I thought it might be fun to write a song consisting of random thoughts strung together (pun intended) Your feedback (oh man another one!) is welcomed.

i, for one, love it. the recording sounds wonderful, and those guitar tones are sick. the intro tone sounds really chewy and brown. and that leslie tone is great. really a nice, original song. cool composition and arrangement. i'm a fan. you've got a great drummer by the way.

so many recordings i hear on here by folks who can really talk the talk surprise me in a bad way. this was a surprise in a good way.

I need to listen later on my good monitors - but a quick listen on the laptop was impressive... really interesting sounds!

What?! You didn't use Protools, a huge mix of neve/api/500-series preamps through a rack of original 1176s and Distressors?! But HOW can you make a good recording that way? This is gearslutz, after all! I mean, there's not even autotune!

I listened back some more on better speakers.. and dude, this thing has a GREAT vibe. It reminds me of something - can't quite put my finger on it.. maybe Matthew Sweet? Whatever it is - it's freaking great.

Keep up the good stuff.. I wanna hear more.

Thanks so much! Even my most honest and toughest critic likes it and has it as her cell phone song. (The wife)
