Audio Interface?

Hey

Ive been making music on my computer for a few years now
and i finally got my own place and decided to put in money for monitors and an audio interface
what i used before was a pair of m-audio studiophile headphones.

anyways I'm not sure which audio interface to get or if i need one at all
atm my soundcard is "Creative Lab Sound Blaster Audigy SE"
I use Live + Reason and a few controllers.

basically i dont need many inputs or any at all since i dont record at all or at least not yet

I just want something that will help put out a good sound for my monitors and headphones
budget wise i dont plan on spending more than 300

also im looking for new headphones anything better than the m-audio ones

thanks for any input

EDIT: BTW im using a Vista 64 system

Just a thought... An off topic thought...

Considering you're just getting started, you might want to start over with a new screen name. You'll be glad you did when you're no longer a noobster, but a pro

It's a really good starting choice, I've had a bunch of songs licenced on tv while using this interface.

So does the Edirol UA-25e have any latency issues ? Can it compete with (or surpass) the E-mu's (0202 and 0404), the Line 6's (UX1, UX2, Toneport) and the Tascam US-144 WRT latency ?
