RNC & RNLA for overdub room - good call?

Would having these two be the best choice for variety in a small overdub room? Tracking vocals, acoustic guitar, and bass to finish off projects for the most part. Is there anything else I should check out or this the best bet in the price range?

Like my rnc for mixing mostly, supernice is very transparent, heard good things about rnla. Think its a good idea to get an optical and vca comp as it gives you options. I like my joe meek mc2 as well (same price range as rnla).

What are you recording with? Do you want colored compression or no?
If you're going digital into Pro Tools or other DAW, and you want transparent compression, I'd vote for the RNC if it came down to just the two (RNC/RNLA), but I'd personally just use a plugin if I wanted transparent response though.
I haven't used the RNLA personally, but I have the RNC so I couldn't compare their characteristics. But as many others say on this forum, the RNLA boasts more color and character than the colorless RNC if that makes sense...
Get both, or also look at the ART Pro VLA series in that price range.

Had my RNC for ages... still love it and use it all the time for tracking vocals. Sorry, can't compare it to the RNLA but 'cept to say that an rnla is on my "to get" list!

ITB. But if you like to physically control the knobs then RNC.
