MIDI Question

So....

Today I ran across a midi controller that was mad several years ago by Tascam.

The Tascam US-2400. It was a 24-Channel Mixing Console with Motorized Faders powered through USB. The designed it to be "the first" midi controller that functioned as a mixing console with compatibility with any DAW.

Does anyone know of a product like this on the market today? ...thats under $1,000?

i'm afraid there is a downside to these types of products..
viz...
they have custom smt in em often.

its not like a pc where if a power supply goes on the blink
buy a new one at the corner pc store and within an hour
pc is back up running.

so be very carefull you can get it fixed in the future.
otherwise it becomes a costly doorstop.
i stay away from such products tho i realise some people like em.
