I have the new (chinese) V8's on loan while my originals are being refurbed, and I'm not liking the new ones. Try before you buy if possible, spend a whole day with 'em.

Naw, they made changes to the HF and LF drivers and added some frequency contour options... sound kinda harsh to me now, especially at the end of a long day.

I just bought some of the V6's about a week ago.. Right outa the box they sounded very bright and no bottom. But I've been pumping some tunes thru them constantly and they seem to be smoothing out.. Guess they need breaking in.. But I'm luvin the detail they put out! Kevin |

I just swapped my M-Audio's for the KRK Rp5's and so far I am very happy. Listening at the store, I liked the Dynaudio's and the V6's best, but I thought the rp5's were pretty great too, and in my price range. (actually a little below but, I have only had them for a few days so..... Good Luck |

I'm selling my V4's right now (PM me if interested) but I want to get either V8's or V88's with a subwoofer. Does anyone have any experience with either pair and the KRK subwoofer? THanks

The V8 is quite a bass heavy speaker, with a sub you'd be swimming in low end I think! The V8 is a great speaker, in a lot of ways I prefer the V6 because there seems to be some better separation going on between sources like kick and bass guitar. The V8 would be well suited for many styles of mixing, but hip hop in particular would be smokin' with these. The V88 is discontinued so I haven't heard those. War | |

Thanks warhead. What about the V6 with a sub? I'm mixing mostly indie rock and hiphop. |

| Hip hop? Get a pair of subs. If you can cross-over in front of the V6, you might get out of the port frequency on it and clean up the mids a little more. -tINY |
