| The manual says to use 1800' 1 mil thickness tape. i'm pretty sure 456 is thicker than 1 mil. I'm sure it would be fine to use just to give it a test run. Tascam recommends 457 as a standard for the machine. Currently I'm using RMG LPR35 instead since it's easier to get than Quantegy where I am. It's a 457 equivalent.
