I've noticed the same with my profires. They aren't stuck they are just lodged nicely. Or un-nicely. I'd suggest just wiggling them, they will come out

i actually had to take the lid off of it and push the inner plastic to to release the 1/4s.. its just funny tho because it only does it with my hosa cables and not the monsters or mogomi.(sp?)

This is the first I've heard of this happening on the Pro Fire but it doesn't surprise me. A couple years ago (about 3 if my memory serves me) we encountered a similar problem when I was working for Mackie. We found that the Monster 1/4" cables were larger than other manufactures. The difference proved to be enough to extend past most manufacturing tolerances and the cables would get stuck. Over time these larger cables would start to break the 1/4" connection. If everyone here is using Monster cables they are likely the culprit. I'm not sure if Monster ever changed the parts used on their cables but just to be safe I'd go with a different cable. yeah actually the monster cables werent getting stuck just the hosa's/ live wires. It wasnt really that hard to release them just shocked me alil that the 1/4s were getting stuck. Its a easy fix though with differnt cables. |

nope ive never used monster cables. mine dont get stuck they just feel like they are fit so tightly inside that if you try to remove them whilst putting pressure up/down/sideways that it makes it harder to remove, thats all..

I actually had this happen to me on my 2626, only it was/IS one of the headphone jacks. I got a 1/4" adapter lodged in there, then pulled too hard, and broke the damn thing.
