Apogee Mini MP or Apogee duet

I'm considering buying an Apogee Mini MP 2 channel preamp, used.

I really need a decent preamp but, then again, I'm also finding an Apogee Duet for a decent price near me.

I'm sure the Apogee converters would be a step up from my Alesis io 14 converters and so would the two pres in the duet compared to the preamps in the Alesis.

This little Alesis sounds pretty good and is stable for me, but, I need better preamps for my dynamic vocal mic usage.

One question re the Duet...can I run my Alesis io 14 off og the Apogee converters? Not to sure if the Duet can do this...

I'm wondering if anybody has any experience with the Apogee Mini MP..it's discontinued 2 channle pre..hard to find info in the form of user experience..on this thing
