When using both mackie control n xt ? also c4

1. does it show as 1-16.
2. which unit shows the first 8 channels.
3. can the order be changed.
4. if bank change is pressed does it go from 17-24 on both control n xt
5. can the c4 be used only 4 editing parameters only ex. select channel 1 it jumps the compressor settings on c4 and tweak away.

Thank you.

Think it depends a bit on your host program, but afaik in most (i'm sure of Logic and ProTools) you can select the order of your units. You can set a Mackie Control as master over a number of additional Mackie Control (XT's) for bank switching for example, depending on software. In Logic for example, you can mix'n'match tons of controllers in any configuration you'd like (with more masters and controller groups etc). In ProTools you prolly can't go as far, but order sure can be done, and bank switching will affect all units.
For Nuendo, you'll have to check your manual. It maybe can go as far as Logic.

If i remember correctly In Protools, the main unti must always be the 1st and the expander units must follow. I think this was on the "CONS" list. But I have the main unit and it works pretty cool with PT LE. It's noce to have faders and pan knobs to touch, especially when doing automation moves.

That shouldn't be a problem i guess. 6 units ain't that much. (I think max in Logic is 128, tho i can't imagine anybody using such a setup )
Just remember you need a midi I/O port to connect every single unit.
