Heil Sound Heritage Dynamic Cardioid Studio Microphone

todays stupid deal of the day on musicians friend.

what do we think? i might buy it bc its the same price as a cheap nady, and i could use it for some artwork (bc it has that retro grill to it)

aesthetics aside, as an actual usable microphone what do we think.

I bought one. Ironcially enough I just bought the PR22 yesterday. I hear it's a similar capsule, suspension mounting, etc and I really like the PR22 so far. You can eat it without undue proximity effect or p pops. But anyway the heritage just look so cool! Sometimes that matters. Singer can be inspired to get into the mood by that sort of thing, you know?

well im doing a photoshoot for a guy for his myspace and fliers and cd artwork and promo shit, and i was looking for one of these mics (the only one i nthe price range was a nady) bc they look really cool and plays into the vibe he was going for.

long story short the deal is over, and im glad it is, bc i really didnt need one. id prob never use it other than for a couple pictures.

Hate 2 tell u but...

music123.com has the heritage for the same price as musicians f. stupid deal. That probably doesn't help does it? Oh well, I didn't need it either and I bought it so maybe I feel lonely. Anyway, they have the MXL 2010 for the stupid price as well. I've bought from them before. No problems.

Sorry, I am searching...

I saw the thread and what you were saying and wanted to tell you where you could get it. By the time I went through all the signing up and forgetting what I had used for a password, then remembering after I had already clicked "can't remember password" I may have given you the wrong site. I just checked music 123 and found no MXL 2010 and a heritage that was $99 instead of $79.99. I really am sorry, I didn't know I was going to have to register and all that. I'll find the sight for you and get back, promise! I did just get a blue bluebird for $225. at Welcome to Abes of Maine and if you buy before Dec. 31st you get a $50. rebate! Total with free ship is $175. Beat that! Actually B&H Photo Video | Digital Cameras, Camcorders has a sale on the bluebird for $219. but you may have to go to abes to print the rebate coupon. I am not wealthy, just insane! I buy WAY too much gear. I'll help you out when I can. My idea of fun is scouring the net to see how cheap I can buy gear, even if it is obscure shop. Bought a B-stock H.C. Helicon $800. dollar vocal harmonizer for $380. See what I'm sayin'? Let me get back to you, later!

I tried and tried Mr. jukeboxhero, but apparently they sold out of the 2010 and the heritage is now $99.00 Maybe I dreamt it. No, really, I saw your thread and wanted to help but after I signed up, forgot password, remembered paSSWORD AFTER CLICKING "i FORGOT" AND SO ON MAYBE i GAVE YOU THE WRONG SITE. i WROTE YOU ALL THIS BUT NOW CAN'T FIND IT, i'M NOT THE MOST COMPUTER SAVVY PERSON IN THE WORLD. Welcome to Abes of Maine has blue bluebird on sale for 225. then after a $50. rebate that you print out on thier site total damage is 175. Try and find a bluebird that cheap even used! B&H Photo Video | Digital Cameras, Camcorders is also selling it for $220. but you might have to go to Abes to print out the rebate. I just reseached everything all over the web and the heritage is lowest at $99. and I canb't find the 2010 for under $100. and some...sorry. I'll help where I can, I am deeply obsessed with audio gear right now. Acoustic treatment is next. Anybody have any leads on the cheap? Didn't mean to shout earlier, accidents will happen.
