| Gear nut | sidechaining compression
hi all of you, i produce drum and bass and actualy work more on my kik and sub these are the 2 mains db users in the mix i have used sidechainin in logic to trig a filter by drum audio track and others tweaks like hat but i have search and found threads on side chainins kik and sub it allows to play fat kiks that have the same main lo frequencies that the sub(without cuttin above 65 hz to feel the sub line ) and a fat sub( whithout tweaking on eq to find a place for the kik lol ) so i understand the action, drum kik is the master and sub the slave, i can side chain kik compress and sub compress to limit the sub when the kik play do i have to knows special thing to do the job: i think the release are important to do not have pumpin artefacts in the lo registery i know there are not presets ready to play, but i prefer to have recomandations by users that i ll combine with my experiences so , if there is a sidechainer in the place!!!!! thanks |
