2 GT Bricks for Keyboard DI .... good stuff?

I was just wondering if running my Triton Extreme's analog stereo outs into transformer based DI's (such as 2 bricks) might make the signal a little more "big, analog and warm," for lack of better adjectives.

Have at me Slutz!

- ALSO - because I don't want to start another thread...

do you think the Triton -> GT Bricks -> RME ADI-2 -> soundcard would be a "pro" sounding synth chain.

Yes. I use the Ditto (non-preamp version of the Brick) for this all the time. I even double up the transformer goodness by running the Ditto into a 1272. Sometimes I'll even triple it by running the 1272 into a Fatso tranny.

The Brick is awesome for the price. We have one at the studio that gets a lot of work. It is a really nice DI and you get a good preamp to go along with it. When I first tried it I was suprised by how much clarity it retains. Some cheaper tube stuff is kind of 'muddy' in my experience. I think that it will be a piece of equipment that you will want to keep around even if you end up getting some higher end stuff in the future.

I just got a ditto for $150 on ebay and I am planning to use that to go into my ME1NV. I'm also expecting my fatso this week and will try out what you just described. I can't wait

BTW, I generally only record synths
