With modern day computers pretty powerful...does anyone actually bounce down individual kit pieces to the DAW and mix them in your software, or do you just run SD2 as a vsti and mix in the SD2 interface?

I've upgraded from eZD to SD2 especially for this. I used to route ezd to individual channels in the daw, now I use the mixer inside sd2 and save the hole preset (mix + fx) to be able to load it painlessly and lightning fast in other projects.
Helps a lot maintaining sound constancy between tracks, or at least give a close starting point for fine tuning.

Superior is amazing, really worth the money, Me and my friend are putting out a small album(me on guitars, and he's on bass) we have no drummer, and we have drum ideas. That tool is an amazing asset since you can program anything and it actually sounds good.
I'm not sure if you're into Progressive\Math metal and stuff like that, but I have some song samples on my Soundcloud, everything here is made with Superior.

I love Superior and especially Metal Foundry's Cymbals.

Just released a full-length last week, which contains programmed drums using S2.0 Metal Foundry. Some of the shells are blended with other samples via Trigger.

Album is free to download if anyone's interested. Cara Neir. The music is primarily black metal, but we're influenced by a lot of hardcore punk/crust as well.

I'm sure we can do Beatlesque.
What else do you want (within reason)?
Gritty/Alternative?
If you're still on the task ... are there any Beatlesque demos of Superior stuff?

(Dr Robert )

cheers,

Just go for it and buy New York studios drum sets for it. This is by far the best drum set I working with {better than BFD, Addictive drums, etc.}. With some programming skills you can create pretty live sounding grooves.

Mixosaurus is maybe better, but a lot more expensive and resource hungry.
