Tube Channel Strip

Which vacuum tube channel strip for less than 600$ is the best? Single channel and built-in compression.

You can get a Groove Tubes Brick and an RNC for well under $600. That'd be my suggestion.

no such thing to my knowledge....you can get different components like others suggested. The GT brick which is a tube based and an RNC which is solid state

Take a look at an HHB Radius 50, it's what you describe and actually sounds decent.
The attack and release times are selectable presets of "fast" or "slow" but I've had no problem finding uses for them... Considering it's only $250.00!!!

Or this http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/ProChannel/ I don't own it, but it also fits your criteria.

...I might add, I also own an RNC which is a great piece of gear. I would highly recommend the RNC with whatever preamp you decide to get.

The Brick is like 500 bucks so you'll probably not have the cash for that one if you also need a comp. Maybe you should check out the Studio Projects VTB-1?

The Brick is $400, and that's if you have no haggling skills. I got mine for $350 which included all taxes.

Where did you get it from? For that price, I'd like to get one too.

For $350, I just went to Guitar Center and haggled. For $400, you can get them from places like Front End Audio and Atlas Pro Audio.
