Thread Starter | conversion question
If you had 16x in and out how many times would you be comfortable converting. Would you consider a/d for recording then d/a and a/d for mixing down to 2. Then d/a and a/d for mastering? I really like the idea of mastering after I am done mixing at a later time and I want to use analog gear. Now I master my stuff at the same time I mix without the last set of conversions. I am going to try a mix but I was wondering if any one had any thoughts on this. |

| With decent 24/96 conversion, I'd worry more about the analog noise than conversion effects. But, with decent gear, you probably won't notice three or four trips out and back. -tINY |
