Thread Starter | Recording From Mixing Console into Presonus Firepod Interface
Hi All, What I'd like to be able to do, is record out from the channel insert sends or group sends into the 8 channels of a Presonus Firepod using an 8 channel TRS fan to fan snake. My concern is that the first two 1/4" channels of the Firepod are marked "Instrument Level" and the remaining six are "Line Level". I'm not too clear on the difference between the two, despite reading a few forums... Will the only issue be that I have to raise the volume of the first two channels to be comparable to the remaining six channel levels. Thanks! |

The instrument inputs for channels 1&2 are on the front. On the back of the unit are line inputs for those channels.

Above poster is right. On the firepod's front, Inputs 1 and 2 are Instrument and Mic, 6 to 8 are Mic and Line. Input 1 and 2's Line Inputs are at the back (next to the Preamp Output)
