Art/RNP comparison sound samples - ANSWER POSTED

Hey y'all. Don't know how many of you are stuck in the non-slutty gear dark ages like me, but in case you are I'd like to post some sound samples.

My new RNP's channel 2 is now fuzzy, so it's going back. I'm thinking of upgrading it anyway to a Great River or something, but don't know if it's worth the extra dough.

Recording test:
Lowden acoustic guitar
DIY bass trap treated room
CAD E300 mic on omni over shoulder
No effects

Sample 1 - http://www.pinkhumpy.com/test1.mp3
Sample 2 - http://www.pinkhumpy.com/test2.mp3

Can you guess which is the RNP and which is the Art Tube MP?
Which one do you like better?

Cheers,
Brendan

I like sample 2 better. sound a bit crisper to me, more air in the high end... so i'd have to say 1 is art 2 is rnp.

The real test does not come from one track but from many tracks mixed...

but guitar sounds nice...

I have never heard either pre...but but based on marketing...I would say that test 1 is the RNP...

I'll say that 'test 1' sounds less muddy than test 'test 2'...however 'test 1' has weaker transients than 'test 2'...

I agree. If I had to choose, I'd pick #2. I'd EQ it a little - but it has the nicer transients. I don't know either unit - based on the hype I'd say #2 is the RNP.
