Thread Starter | Need help with my signal path... OK, I recently invested in my chain, but am a bit confused about the setup. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have a right now, my chain is Manley mono mic pre--> DIGI002R-->command 8-->HS50Ms, and I need to figure out how to insert my RME ADI-2 that I would like to use for monitoring and tracking (is it possible to do this simultaneously?) I'm a bit confused. Thanks! BLW |

| Lives for gear | You have to use the ADAT/Lightpipe connection to slave the RME to the 002. I think under the "options" menu in PT is the "hardware" section. You'll have to select "optical" instead of SPDIF, and then the RME inputs and outputs will become available to you via each channel strip in the mixing section, etc. |

Thread Starter | Thanks, Yawn so it's not possible to do the same with the SPDIF connection? |

| Lives for gear | Oh yeah.. you can do the same thing with SPDIF. Just not both at the same time. |
