tricky question about benchmark dac1

if i have a presonus central station to use it just for its monitor switching, and i buy a dac1 for the converters.. i have to hook up the dac1 to presonus to monitors.. so i can switch between all 3 monitors with the dac1 being used.
my question is.. what happends to the converted signal of the dac1 once it goes into the presonus central station? does it bypass the converted signal of the dac1 and use its own... i have no idea what would happen.. somebody know the answere?

Checking the info on the website it seems like it's passive when feeding analog in. I read that as no signal processing at all, only routing/switching with relays.
