Room Mics; what are some cheap but good sounding mics?

Im looking for a pair of room mics to buy for recording drums that wont cost a ridiculous fortune. I obviously want quality so are there any recommendations?

Examples of drum recording styles are: the Advantage, Explosions in the Sky, Dianogah, and Trans Am.

Thanks

A pair of MXL V67g mics do this well - for low end and really cheap they're hard to beat....

What are you looking to spend? the Avensons are $550, which isn't bad at all

I've had good luck with just your standard SM57. I like keeping them low to the floor, maybe a foot off at the most. Sounded good to me anyway.

A matched pair of Cascade Fat Head II's, especially with the Lundahl upgrade. Great stuff.

CAD M179.

Big drum room sound, you can dial in any pattern you like also.
