clock source, order of power, and convertor(?)

Sorry for the confusing thread title. I got (3) quick questions.

My current setup is as follows:

Digi 002
Presonus Digimax LT
Universal Audio LA-610

1. Should I clock my digi 002 to the clock source on my digimax? If so, what steps should I take to do so?

2. When powering things up, is there a certain order to turn things on? In what order?

3. I'd like to add items to my rack to clean up my audio...possibly a new clock or convertors...is this a good upgrade? Or stick what I got?

My recordings are fair-decent, but I'd like to really maximize the potential I have by dialing in my gear.

Thanks.

If you use them together one should clock the other. Probably choose whenever one you like the sound of more as the main unit, and have it clock the lesser unit. This does not mean that the better unit will help the lesser sound goo, rather you are not compromising the sound of the better sounding unit by externally clocking it.

Coax from word clock output of master to word clock input of slave. Set master to provide clock, slave to receive. RTFM(s).

Power up things that can be hurt by transients last, and after whatever can inject a transient into them. Computer first, power amps/ powered monitors last. Other stuff in the middle.

Any clock I would want to get on a clear no-questions asked return basis. I would not be spending money here. I would be looking for clean power and spend the remaining money on room treatments. Or possibly in the other order. Don't kid yourself about the magic of the gear. More money, more room treatments.

You can't get better than the room allows. Plus the value in getting the power clean and the cabling and grounding right is vastly overlooked.

Just my two cents.
