| I cant decide between these two..Well I dont know much about the Symetrix 565E...What do you all think!!

| I love Symetrix compressors (never used the 565E, which is a newer design than the often-praised 501 (and it's brethren the 522 and 525). They are very meaty and impart a nice "weight" on the sound. For some reason I think the 565E is completely different. Meanwhile, the new ART Pro VLA is awesome for the price. But both sound completely different. If I wanted a tracking compressor to smooth out the peaks a little, or if I want to completely smash something beyond belief while still keeping it things thick and stable, I'd rock the Symetrix 501. But if I wanted a stereo bus compressor or a vocal comp to work with the dynamic range of the material instead of just crush it, the Pro VLA would rock in that aspect. |
