| ParametriC EQ & MIDI-controlled Volume Attenuator Suggestions I'm looking for some relatively cheap, analog parametric EQ's-- which I'll probably seek out through the second-hand route. I've got two Aphex 109's, which I find fairly good, but I'd like to know what else others may suggest (and if you can give me an idea of their going prices on the used market that would be peach-keen). Any suggestions? Furthermore... my mixer doesn't support automation. Are there any MIDI-controlled analog volume-attenuators on the market?

| I dont know how you feel about behringer but I have had a bcf2000 for 3 years and it stii works fine..you can use it midi or just hook up a usb and you off. I use it with pro-tools digi 003..it really does work great and at the price you can get two and hook them togeather...I have ran up to 46 tracks on this thing and it will keep on going!!!! Check it out!!

| I have lava in my smurf crease. Well, I've personally had problems with Behringer products-- specifically I had a DI box from them that fell apart for no good reason. There's been a lot of bad press for Behringer in recent years, though maybe that's snapped some common sense in to them to put out some quality products. I'll keep the Behringer you mentioned in mind, but ideally I'd like something different. A little "better" if you will. Mind you if they make a MIDI-controlled analog volume attenuator I'd give it a shot without a second thought. I seriously hope somebody is making something like that.

They're discontinued, but if you can find one of these used, it'll do watcha need: http://www.mackie.com/products/ultramix/ it's a VCA automation package that sits in the insert points of an analog mixer. Niche and CM labs made similar products. They were targeted at the ADAT market more than anything. | |

Anyone got any suggestion for decent parametric EQ's in the $300 to $800 vein on the used market? I'm looking to get a couple, so if on the lower end of that spectrum it would be good ;)
