Golden age project FC-4 SDC

Hi Guys,

I am intrigued by these mics. I am looking for a SDC pair to mainly capture drum kit. I like the look of the Chameleon labs TS-1 but they may not be within my budget (I am planning on buying a few items with a small producers advance)

I have tried a few cheaper sdc's and have been put off by the grainy top end, so want something with a natural unhyped hi end.

Has anyone experience with the FC-4's? I'm looking at quite minimal micing for drums 4-6 channels at most, so will want the SDC to define most of the sound (as well as the drummer)

I'm going for a Krautrock/Conny Plank style sound to the drums I'll be recording if that is any help?!
