Thread Starter  | SLut of The Week
My neighbour is scrounger .
She shows up at my door with P4 box that's been half gutted .
For a trade of 15 cigaretes I get an 80 gig IDE drive a Gigabyte P4 board with a 2.4 gig cpu 512 ram & a DVD burner .
I'll tossed the case but I now have me a 2.4 gig p4 computer for 15 smokes ! Plus a real nice Monitor card !!
Live long & Slut well.

Ha right on!
I just picked up a Neumann TLM 103 for $500 Canadian (with box & clip) because someone didn't pay their rent 
Some of the best deals I've got were from "crackheads" so to speak.

i got a 50-watt hand wired alamo guitar head for 35 bucks from a building super who said a tenant left it behind when they moved.
a pair of snells left on the street, needed two refoams - $25.
a pair of jbl monitors left on the street in brooklyn.
rich people are better sources than crackheads.
crackheads are stupid but they have no loot.
rich people can't fix sh*t and throw everything out.
and they don't know how much anything is worth in the real world.
it's about the only good characteristic of rich people.

This is Low end so to me scrounging is allowed !
if you get off your butts you just might find somethng all on your own ..
I got this a 14 Univox Snare and a pointy headstock eletric guitar that needs to be stained and the PU's and guts for it .
Ya take a pair of work gloves with you and a few screw drivers and some wire cutters

One of my ex-GF's got a guitar from her dad, something a tennant had left behind, apparently in lieu of 2 months rent.
A 1927 Martin parlor guitar.
That was more than 3 decades ago but it was worth about the price of a good used car, even then.
