Glad to hear the rumour is just that - you can't believe everything you hear or read - right!

I have to confess that it is refreshing to read a post where someone stands up for ethics in doing business even to the point of opting out. I wouldn't think of lowering my standards and jepordizing everything. The responsibility to everyone involved and weight on my shoulders is enormous.

Cheers

I have recieved quite a few messages asking if I could extend the deadline another week as they get paid on the 15th and want to up their order. At the same time, I want to be sensitive to those who have paid and are paiently waiting. We agreed to extend it till 5-16. With my order and all the verbal orders from friends and engineers here in LA, the quotas have been met for our minimum order. So we're good to go.

I don't know where the AK-47 comparison keeps coming from...I would think it closer to a certain companies mic labeled the CV-12 which is red in color.

Perhaps they were thinking of the other "weapons grade mic" the M-16?

It works just like the credit card checkout... When you log into the User Console, view your product invoice, you can choose the type of payment you'd like to make... If you choose Virtual Check, it takes you to a form, where you fill out basic personal info, and your banking routing and account numbers... When you pay, it deducts it directly from your checking account... Pretty much the same as a debit card transaction would work...

Virtual Checks are for US funds only though... that's probably a given, but I thought I'd mention it..

Randy - I know nothing about it either - hence my question in regards to it. It seems that the original poster has deleted his post. You'd have to ask him. Chance cleared up his comments about "samples" and "gifts" to me in a PM. I guess he was just kidding. Everything looks aboveboard. Perhaps I read too much into these things.....

With regards to the IRS. I thought I mentiond this before, but the only mention of the IRS is when our money (mine too) was tied up with Pay Pal. The funds that were mine were frozen and I mentioned that "I needed my funds to pay my taxes". These were funds from me selling some gear to a friend.

Ok.. Sounds good!

I don't come here very often, and I didn't know of any of the shipping/customs conversations that had taken place...

I wouldn't be the person to ask anyways, as I've only ever shipped outside the US 1 time in my life, and as far as I can remember, never received anything directly from outside the US...so all the customs stuff is Greek to me...

Yup. Who knows how these posts mutate in people's minds. Probably a lot like playing that game of "telephone" that we played as kids. Start at one end with a simple comment and by the time it goes thru 20 people it's completely different.

To clear up the whole IRS thing - I heard on a phone call with a fellow Aussie that there had been communication between the IRS and Chance in regards to importing gear from China - I think he found it on one of the other forums - I would rather not mention his name - it's all a load of crap anyway - he sells gear so maybe he was trying to dislodge this Group Buy - no harm done though thank goodness - I have paid for my gear and am eagerly waiting for the delivery. (in 3 or 4 months time)

Unless you meant from China...
