xlr cable lengths

I am Connecting a balanced connection from sub woofer to nearfields using XLR's. Is it best to run the same length cable as in surround sound home stereos or does it matter in a home studio?

What i need is one 15 ft and 25 ft.

thank you in advancedd

That difference in length won't matter at all.

You should run the same length cables - at least within about 1/2mile of each other....

cool... so tINY, please let me ask: 15/30 ft. discrepancies won't make a difference, even if between a stereo pair of mics going to two track? thank you!

If you took a 10' cable and compared it with 100' cable (assuming that every but the length was the same), then sure...you'd notice a difference. But 15' vs. 25'? There's not nearly enough difference in length to produce an audible difference.
