Help me round out my low end gear!

Please forgive the redundancy of this topic - but everyone seems to have custom needs. I am looking for advice for low end gear to complete my home recording space. I will generally be tracking live (drums, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, pedal steel, bass) and then going back and cutting solos, vox and acoustic instruments.

I have a drum room, and 3 ISO rooms.

mics:
AGK c451b x 2
AT4040 x 1
Senn 421 x 1
AKG D112 x 1
SM57 x 2
beta 57 x 1
SM 58
Senn 803e
EV 911 deca

and:
DBX 160
DOD 31 band EQ

I need a solid mixer with decent pres and an audio interface, plus....??
I will be running Nuendo on a PC or ProTools LE

THANKS!!!

You may or may not need an actual mixer - you may do fine with a cue mixer in and interface and a couple headphone amps.

An RE20 or a Heil PR40 might be nice additions.

Since you're in Low End Land, I'd recommend an ART MPA GOLD or two (with upgraded tubes) as a preamp option.

Stick with Steinberg, you'll be much happier. Get an EMU 1820m or 1616m and you wont need a mixer, and you can buy some good pres with the money you saved.

The 896HD from MotU is a pretty nice unit at a fair price. It has 8 ins and 10 outs on board and you can add 8 more inputs later. The internal cue mix is simple and straight-forward.

A lot of people bash the pres on the 896HD. I've found it to be decent. No color, no mojo, but clean and useable.

You can add mojo later if you want by fliping the switch to Line or fixed...
