| Mic pre shoot out
Put one mic up and dasiy chain the mic pre's and listen to them all in playback and A/B the lot of them . Each mic pre gets it's own track ! Do male vocals - female , eltr guitar bass , drums the whole kit of coarse . ( one mic mono ) then each drum cybal . Piano a grand , violin, Last your mother nagging you to take out the trash ! dylansmale. so post some mic pre examples of your own. might be helpfull for people to compare what your doing with your pre's to what they are doing. i find it amazeing that there cant be a darn thread thats peacefull and fun with friendly debate without some folks going into attack mode...lol.

I'm with ya manning1 I agree that some folks round here tend to have a "shoot first" attitude... I for one like the idea of an informal, un-scientific, and FUN exercise in comparing pres (and mics too). All the power to ya amigo ![]() In fact.. I am inspired to try doin' one myself with a couple of my pres and mics. As soon as the kids finish watching tv and get out of my...um...tracking room. |
