upgrade passive di box
if i were to get an inexpensive di box (like a rolls, etc) could it be significantly improved just by swapping out the transformer? jensen transformers go for about $60 new, and i'd only be using this for guitar and bass.

Seems like to much work...how cheep is a rolls di 30-40 bucks...plus the 60 of the tranny and time spent is like 100+ bucks into it and who knows how well it will turn out.

On the other hand you could get the Radial ProDI for only 100 bucks and that would sound really good....or spent alittle more for the JDI with the jensen tranny...ive seen them used for 130 on ebay. Just doesnt seem worth the aggravation to me but it might work...just my opinion.

I agree.... for the same cost you can get a Radial ProDI, which will always sound good and last forever.
