Recording levels in ProTools.

How can I see the db level of what's being recorded to an Audio track (from a MIDI or Instrument track)?

Get Inspector from RogerNichols or FreeG from Sonalksis, both are free.

Or you could also put a TRIM plug in, it has dB's level marked.

control click the fader volume level (or edit window volume) to view peak levels, and just reset the peaks once in a while? and make sure meters are prefader...

Any recent version of Protools includes their free SignalTools plug ins for metering and phase. These should work fine for you.
