Best GC score yet

I've gotten some great closeout deals at Guitar Center on numerous occasions, but today was the ultimate score. Apparently they are no longer going to carry the Event ASP6 monitors, just the ASP8's. My local (South Bend) GC has a pair of floor models for $480, but one of them showed some damage, so I passed. Today I was in Indianapolis, so I went to the GC and walked out with a pair, as new with full warranty for $400. Hooked them up when I got home and was totally blown away(anybody want to buy a pair of TR-6's cheap?). All the other retailers are still advertising these for a thousand bucks a pair. I'm betting the other GC stores are closing them out cheap as well. Just thought I'd pass it on.

So, is this thread about the best deals anyone has ever gotten at GC? Or any music store? That'd be a cool thread. My friend Tony bought a Oberheim Matrix 6 for 50 bucks at GC.

Interesting, you bought them in Indy? Maybe I'll go to the Nashville store and see if they have them in stock and tell them a friend of mine bought a pair for $400. I guess if they called the Indy store they could confirm, no?

I bought a Vox AC15 for $400 with a Celestion Blue, that's a good deal. I also got a Voodoo Labs Analog Chorus for $25, that was a nice score.

I got my ASP8s at the Nashville GC for 700 new. Still pretty good, but damn, 400 bucks? That's good.

Premier Signia Maples - $700 shipped with my choice of new heads for the whole kit from GC Boston. Since I'd have needed heads anyway, that comes out to about $550 for a set of Signias.. I'll take that deal any day.
