| Newbie looking at some monitors. Help power amps :P Hello, A friend told me to ask here. I'm going to buy some monitors and a power amp and im very interested in the Samson RS12M as they are cheap and multipurpose Samson Audio - RS12M are these going to be big enough for a stage roughly the size of a school classroom with 2 or maybe 3. I am on a budget here. Also along with those speakers Should i be using the Crown XLS 202 or 402 XLS Series Ive read some where that the amp should be twice the rms which the 402 is but what if some newbie goes "oops i accidentally switched it to bridge 8ohms @ 900w" and theres a big boom! and there goes me new speakers. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks Alot |

| Is there some reason you don't want active monitors? Really, biamped monitors are a lot better (especially with the 1" horn). That means that you'll need a crossover too (if you can even biamp the sampson). -tINY |
